Beginning July 1, GFL Environmental will take over all solid waste communications for the Town of Morrisville.
Residents should direct service requests and questions directly to GFL by calling them at 919-596-1363 or visiting their online portal at https://gflenv.com/support.
Household Garbage and Recycling Collection
Garbage and recycling are collected by GFL Environmental every week.
Monday through Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm
2025 Holiday Collection Schedule
Holidays observed by the Town's solid waste contractor GFL Environmental are Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day, at which time service will be backed up one day. All other holidays are serviced on your normal collection day.
Thanksgiving - November 27, 2025
- There will be no garbage or recycling pickup on Thursday, November 27
- Garbage and Recycling scheduled for Thursday, November 27, will be collected on Friday, November 28
- Friday's collections will be picked up on Saturday, November 29
Christmas-December 25, 2025
- Garbage and recycling will not be picked up on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025
- Garbage and recycling scheduled for Thursday, December 25, will be on , Friday, December 26.
- All garbage and recycling collections will be pushed back one day for the rest of the week.
- Friday's collections will be picked up on Saturday, December 27
Yard Waste Collection
Yard waste is collected twice each month on Wednesdays for all routes.
The Wednesday yard waste pick-up schedule is as follows:
- Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday garbage routes: Yard waste is collected on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
- Thursday and Friday garbage routes: Yard waste is collected on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
Note: During months containing five weeks, no yard waste will be collected on the fifth week.
Yard Waste will not be collected on the following 5th weeks in 2025

Please make sure that all trash and recycling containers are kept off the street during inclement weather events when streets will need to be plowed. Carts left on the street are at risk of being damaged.
