Know Before You Go 

Please keep the following rules and reminders in mind when visiting a Morrisville park or greenway.

General Park Rules

  • Parks are open daily from dawn to dusk.
  • Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not allowed.
  • Dogs must be on a leash. Pet owners are required to pick up after their pets. 
  • Vehicles are not allowed in the park except in posted parking areas or roadways. All vehicles entering and operating in the park shall strictly obey traffic laws and posted signs. 
  • Parking in red zones and along curbed entry ways is not allowed.
  • Camping or lodging is not allowed. 
  • Fires are not allowed other than in the park barbecue. 
  • Fireworks, firearms or weapons of any type are not allowed in the park. 
  • Sales of any kind are prohibited unless prior authorization is obtained from the Town of Morrisville. 
  • Reservation of area in the park for approved special events is available through special use or reservation permits from the Town of Morrisville. 
  • Any damaging or defacing of any real or personal property in the park is strictly prohibited. Any person found to have committed an act of vandalism shall be prosecuted. Anyone witnessing any act of vandalism is requested to call the Town of Morrisville at 919-463-7110.

Athletic Court and Field Rules

  • All courts are reserved for open play except for Town of Morrisville sponsored events and programs: team practices while others are waiting is not allowed.

  • Temporary amenities are not allowed. 

  • Non-marking sole shoes only. 

  • Skateboards, in-line skates, roller skates, scooters, gas powered vehicles and bicycles are not allowed on the surface of basketball, pickleball, volleyball, tennis or sport courts. 

  • Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not allowed.

  • Food is not allowed on playing surfaces.

  • Abusive language or profanity is not allowed.

  • Loud music is not allowed.

  • Dogs are not allowed in activity or sports areas. All other animals prohibited. 

  • Outdoor sport areas close at 10 p.m. with access to lights ends at 10 p.m. per Town ordinance. 

  • Any damaging or defacing of any real or personal property in the park is strictly prohibited. Persons found to have committed an act of vandalism shall be prosecuted. Anyone witnessing any act of vandalism is requested to call the Town of Morrisville at 919-463-7110.

  • Hitting, kicking, or throwing objects against the fence is not allowed.

  • Golfing is not allowed.

Cricket Practice Pitch Rules

  • Cricket practice pitches are available by reservation or scheduled open use.

  • Metal or rubber spiked shoes are not allowed on the artificial turf. 

Pickleball Courtesy & Etiquette

  • No singles, individual practice, or lessons when players are waiting. Play is limited to groups of four.
  • All games will be played to 11, win by 2.
  • When a game finishes, those four players announce, "court," and play stops on all courts. Players then shift courts, and the next team up removes their paddles from the rack and takes their place on court 1. Play resumes on all courts. The process repeats as long as others are waiting to play.
  • Waiting players will use the rack to determine who's next up to play. You can use the clip to indicate who is next.
  • Show common courtesy and respect for all players and spectators.
  • Limit noise from music - no loudspeakers, amplifiers, or public address systems are allowed.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
  • Wait for play to stop before asking permission to pass through the court in use.
  • Profane language is prohibited.
