  • The sand volleyball courts at Church Street Park Southern Lot will close at dusk due to a lighting issue until further notice.
  • Lanier Construction will begin work at Morrisville Community Park on Sept. 22. This work will temporarily close a section of Hatcher Creek Greenway beside the pickleball courts and parking lot. Work is expected to be completed around Oct. 13, weather permitting.
  • Church street Park will temporarily close to the public as it hosts the Minor League Cricket Super 8 series from 10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28 - 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6. Please see Additional Information below for full details.

  • As of Monday, Sept. 8, WithersRavenel, a contractor for the Town of Morrisville, will be working throughout the Town surveying asphalt roadway conditions, collecting data for future roadways and resurfacing projects. Personnel will most likely be driving slowly through the neighborhoods and walking the pavements.
  • Crews will be paint striping “No Parking” zones at the ends of alleyways in the Kitts Creek neighborhood on Sept. 26, 29 and 30. Public Works will cone off the areas on Thursday, Sept. 25 in preparation. Please avoid parking in these areas and use caution when driving near workers.

  • Church Street Park will temporarily close to the public as it hosts the Minor League Cricket (MiLC) Super 8 Series beginning Monday, Sept. 29.

    Amenities including the tennis and basketball courts, multi-sport court, sand volleyball, artificial practice pitches, public shelters, playground and walking track will be unavailable from 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, through 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6.

    On-site parking will be available until the lot is full. Overflow parking will be provided at Iron Mountain, with pedestrian access to the park via the sidewalk. A designated rideshare area will be set up in the southern lot, using the row of parking closest to Church Street.
